Alex is born and raised in a kennel. Her mom bred showdogs - Shibas. 
Her mom has now retired and lives to advice Alex, when she needs it. 

Alex first dog was a shiba, but in her early teens she got her first American Akita and she fell in love with the breed. It was on a walk with that first Akita "Koko" that she met her future wife, Kanda. They sort of just bumped into each other. 

They went to a lot of different festivals together and after a trip to the romance festival and with too much Sakura Tea, they shared their first kiss - and then they started to share more and more, until they decided to share a house. 

Kanda was born in San Myshuno and she knows it like the back of her hand. 
She never grew up with dogs and never dreamt of ever being a part of a kennel, but now she is and though it's not the life she expected, it's the life she's grown used to and fond of. 

She was never a big dog person, before Alex and Koko bumped into her... She is a cat person though, but has decided to postpone the cat life, until they have more success with the kennel.
